Description Directions, Ingredients, Contents Cautions

Tiger Balm temporarily relieves minor aches and pains of muscles and joints due to simple backache, strains, bruises and sprains. It is frequently used to warm up muscles before exercise (Tiger Balm Red) and ease soreness after working out (Tiger Balm White).*

TCM Function:
Increase circulation, move qi

TCM Indications:
Minor aches and pains of muscles and joints due to simple backache, strains, bruises and sprains

Tiger Balm comes in two formulations:

Red Extra Strength has a comforting cinnamon aroma in an herbal formulation that helps relieve muscular aches and pains, soothe tired muscles, increase circulation in joints, warm up muscles before exercise and ease soreness after working out.

White Regular Strength has a higher concentration of mint oil than the red balm, to make it more "cooling" and less "warming" than the Red balm. It works very well for post-workout muscle soreness.

As a massage therapist, I have just learned to use Toger Balm in Tui- Na, Chinese Medical Massage, to warm the muscle and then it softens.
