Butiao Tablets (Bu Xue Tiao Jing Wan, Tonify Blood and Regulate Menses Tablet) is a complex formula developed to support a woman during the premenstrual phase of her cycle. It strengthens kidney and spleen qi. This formula is applicable to a variety of presentations.*
TCM Function: Soothes the liver, invigorates blood, breaks stasis, stops bleeding, warms the uterus, tonifies qi.
TCM Indications: Use during the premenstrual phase of the menses cycle for stagnation of liver qi and blood with deficiency-cold of the uterus.

Directions: As a dietary supplement, take 3 tablets two or three times a day, for 7 days of each month. Do not take if you have a cold or fever. Do not take if pregnant or nursing.
Ingredients:> Codonopsis Root (Dang Shen), Cyperus Rhizome (xiang fu zi), Cassia Bark (Rou gui), Millettia Dielsiana Stem (Shan ji xue), Shepherd's Purse Herb (ji cai), Cang-Zhu Atractylodes Rhizome (cang zhu), Cherokee Rose Mature Fruit (jin ying zi), Mulberry Mistleto (sang ji sheng), Moghania Root (chien chin pa), Chinese Licorice Root (gan cao), Chinese Motherworkt Herb (yi mu cao), Rose Myrtle (shan nien tzu), Litsea Root and Rhizone (dou chi jiang), Lesser Galangal Rhizome (gaio liang jiang), Chinese Mugwort leaf (ai ye), Whitebackleaf Mallotus (bai bei ye), Hispid Fig Root (wu zhie mao tao)
Warnings:
Contraindicated during pregnancy.
Contraindicated during the early stages of acute illness such as cold and flu, or during an acute infection. Do not take in excess of the recommended amount or for extended periods of time. Individuals with a history of kidney stones or loose watery stools should use cautiously. Not recommended in cases of excessive sweating, diabetes, hypertension, liver disorders, severe kidney insufficiency, and hypokalemia. May potentiate potassium depletion of thiazide diuretics and stimulant laxatives, as well as the action of cardiac glycosides and cortisol.
