Calendula is a common ingredient in all manner of skin creams, salves, and ointments that help support natural healing of burns, bruises, sores, skin ulcers, skin infections, and rashes.
This wonderful oil is soothing and gentle enough for babies and is wonderful for diaper rash and cradle cap.

Available as an herbal extract in olive oil, sweet almond oil, or jojoba oil.
This extract is for external use only.
Directions: This oil is concentrated. A small amount goes a long way! Read instructions carefully.
As a massage oil: Use as is, or mix with your favorite essential oils (1 drop per 4oz) or other massage oil bases. Massage gently until absorbed.
For skin irritations: apply topically as needed. Safe for babies and small children.
Ingredients: Locally grown, sustainably harvested (Calendula officinalis flower buds) extracted in organic olive oil, organic coconut oil, or jojoba oil.

Make your own Calendula salve:
For each 4oz of oil you will need 1-2 oz (by weight) of grated beeswax.
Warm the oil gently. Stir in the beeswax slowly until it is melted. Take a tablespoon full of the warm oil and pour it on a small plate. Put it in your freezer for a few minutes, then check the firmness of the salve. If it is too soft, add more beeswax. If too firm, add more oil. Once it is the correct consistency, pour it into a jar and store in a cool, dark place. It will keep for several months (possibly longer). You may add a few drops of tincture of benzoin or rosemary extract as a preservative.
Oil bases:
Sweet Almond Oil: Best for sensitive skin types; shelf life 1-2 years. Slightly viscous consistency. Readily absorbs into the skin.Soothe dry and irritated skin with this softening and hydrating oil. Sweet almond oil is wonderful for regenerating damaged skin cells by penetrating into
your skin with its emollient properties.
Use this oil on dry, acne prone skin as well as sensitive skin.
Jojoba Oil: Best for most skin types, suitable for oily skin; shelf life- minimum 2 years, very stable; medium viscosity, Absorbs well. Detox and revitalize your skin with this light moisturizing oil. Jojoba oil mimics the consistency of our own sebum, which makes it an excellent acne treatment. Using this oil will help balance the production of excess oil while also helping to leave your pores clean and clear.
Olive Oil: Best for most skin types; shelf-life approx 1 year; delicate consistency, absorbs easily. Hydrate, nourish, and moisturize your skin with antioxidant rich olive oil. Using this oil in your daily routine will smooth your skin texture, reduce the signs of aging, and heal dry skin. Olive oil is also known for reducing inflammation and redness.
