Zheng Gu Shui (pronounced Jung Goo Shway) is the liniment of choice for deep bone bruises. It is a "neutral" solution that may be applied in all situations for temporary pain relief.*
This liniment is well-known among martial artists and athletes.

TCM Function:
Invigorates blood, breaks blood stasis, moves qi, stops bleeding, strengthens tendon and bone, dredges and opens the channels and collaterals, relieves pain.

Directions:
Zheng Gu Shui is useful before or after exercise for soreness and to strengthen tendons. As a trauma liniment, it is applicable for other acute injuries marked by swelling or pain. It is useful as a massage liniment before or after exercise. It may be added to bath water.

General instructions: Soak cotton balls with Zheng Gu Shui and apply, wrapping the cotton loosely with gauze. Leave on one hour for upper body, 1 1/2 hours for lower limbs. Shorten the time for children.
For backache, strains, bruises, and sprains, apply 3-4 times per day.
